BENEFITS : Chanting the Gayatri calms the mind and emotions, thereby preparing us for meditation. It helps to awaken the buddhi ( inner wisdom) , which in turn prepares us for the arising of Awareness. This awakens subtle perception and the capacity to SEE behind ‘the scenes’ into greater Reality . It initiates us in to the process of realising our spiritual Source.

The Sanskrit language, the oldest in history , is a language of resonance and beauty. When we chant in this language we do not need to know the meanings of the words to feel where they resonate in our bodies. The Indian musical scale notes, correspond to the 7 chakra points within the body, which also correspond to the major nerve plexi. We are therefore able to feel the vibration in different parts of the body, to identify areas that may be blocked, to feel resonance which leads to healing.
